KNOW SOMETHING ABOUT CAMERA

Camera or CAMERA may refer to:

  • Camera, a device used to take photographs, either singly or in sequence
    • Still camera
      • Instant camera, a type of camera with self-developing film
    • Camera phone, a mobile phone combined with a built-in digital camera
    • Digital camera, an electronic device used to capture and store photographs electronically
    • Video camera, a portable electronic device for recording video images and audio onto a storage device
      • Camcorder, a portable video camera used by consumers
      • Closed-circuit television camera, a camera used for surveillance that is almost always immobile, with the exception of being able to swivel
      • Professional video camera, a video camera used in commercial television production that may or may not be mobile
    • Virtual camera, in computing and gaming
  • The term camera can be used, in general, for devices which produce images or image sequences from measurements on the physical world, also when the image formation process cannot be described as photografic. Examples are
    • range cameras which produce images of the distance to each point in the scene,
    • ultrasonic cameras which produce images of the absorption of ultra-sonic energy, and
    • MRI cameras which produce images showing, for example, the amount of hydrogen in different parts of a patient's body.
